Since July 2024, significant progress has been made on the Cosecha Market project through (11) recurring weekly meetings. The project scope has been updated, and the budget revised to accommodate promotional activities, a project coordinator, and other essentials. Jen Hernandez has been selected as the Project Coordinator, tasked with overseeing specific responsibilities for the market. A reimbursement of approximately $120 was processed for Canva Pro. Work on the Project Coordinator MOU and the initial invoice was initiated in November and December 2024. A potential local resident to serve as the Market Manager has been identified, with a decision expected in Q1 2025.
Promotional efforts included hosting a Community Event Mixer to raise awareness about the Cosecha Market, distributing approximately 25 fliers, and participating in the Mary Buren Fall Festival, where 38 fliers were shared. Weekly visits to Route One Market were conducted to engage potential market vendor partners. The GBA sent an MOU for the market location, which requires follow-up with the city. Additionally, a potential social media coordinator, either Gabriela Morales or Alan Casina, has been identified. Printed materials to support outreach included 50 FRESA information fliers, 50 Cosecha Market info fliers, and 50 donation-specific fliers.
